Roads across Donegal are hazardous this morning due to icy conditions with Donegal County Council advising the public that the R250 at Meenaroy is impassable and temporarily closed due to hazardous conditions.
Vehicle users are advised to avoid until further advised.
There are reports of treacherous conditions on the road from the Dunlewey junction, as well as on the Errigal road leading to Letterkenny.

There are also reports of several cars having gone off the road across the county.
Donegal County Council’s gritters have been treating roads since 6am, but motorists are still advised to exercise extreme caution due to the presence of black ice.
