Meehan steps down as St Eunan’s manager

St Eunan’s have confirmed that Barry Meehan has stepped down as their senior football team manager.

Meehan was at the helm for two seasons and led his club to the Dr Maguire in 2024.

The Letterkenny side exited the championship this year in controversial circumstances against Termon at the preliminary quarter-final stage.

St Eunan’s confirmed the news in a club statement: “St Eunan’s GAA Club wishes to extend its sincere appreciation to Barry Meehan and his management team, who have stepped down from their roles with the Senior Men’s Football Team following the conclusion of the 2025 season.

“Barry and his backroom team have served the club with distinction, demonstrating exceptional dedication, leadership, and professionalism throughout their tenure.

“We are especially proud of Barry’s journey through the club to date — from his involvement at underage level to guiding our senior team to championship success in 2024. His deep connection to the club has been evident every step of the way.

“We wish Barry and his management team every success in their future endeavours and hope to see them back on the sidelines at O’Donnell Park in the not-too-distant future.”
