Finn Harps 3-0 Drogheda United
ERIC McWoods scored twice as Finn Harps defeated Drogheda United this evening to pick up their first win in 13 games.
Harps supporters have had to wait since April for a victory but they will have been impressed with how the team went about their business at Finn Park.
Both sides had good chances to score in the opening twenty minutes before Harps took the lead. Filip Mihaljevic scored a penalty after Eric McWoods was fouled.
McWoods was excellent in the first half and he doubled Harps’ lead in the 44th minute with a smart finish.

It got better for Harps in the 58th minute when McWoods got on the end of Regan Donelon’s cross and headed home, and they were able to see the game out from there.
New Harps signing James McKeown was solid in goal and kept a clean sheet.
Harps have another huge game next Friday when they take on UCD at Belfield.
