McVeigh wants to back up 2021 win

ST EUNAN’S star Sean McVeigh wants to prove they are not just a one-hit wonder as they look to take their second Munster Cup in three years.

The Letterkenny men won their first Senior Hurling Championship title in almost 50 years back in 2021, and they’re in the final once again this Saturday after losing out in the semi-final stage last season.

But while they might be underdogs going into the game, McVeigh doesn’t want their previous win to be remembered as an anomaly.

“2021 was huge for us, it lifted a weight off the shoulders and maybe there was a dip then but losing in Convoy last year to Burt was a tough one and there’s definitely a massive hunger in the group to back up that first win.”
