IT’S exam time at Letterkenny IT, but second year student Paul McVeigh has more than just study on his mind.

McVeigh studies Business and Marketing at the college and had an exam on Wednesday, and will sit another on Economics on Monday.

However, the Fanad native is also an integral member of the Letterkenny Rovers senior team, and they have a very tough assignment of their own this Saturday when they take on Crumlin United in the FAI Intermediate Cup Final.

McVeigh has been hitting the books hard this week, but he concedes that they may be put to one side if Rovers land the silverware on Saturday.

“It’s exam week and there probably couldn’t be a worse week for it in terms of the weather and the cup final and everything,” said McVeigh.

“I’ll just have to put in a big graft before the final, because there might not be much time when we win.

“It gives you something else to think on, but at the same time, this final is what we have been working to all year.

“I’ll get through it. Saturday is driving me on – it’s the big one. I just can’t wait to get down to the Aviva.”
