THE Intermediate Championship has brought plenty of frustration to Kevin McNern’s door over the years but that will all be forgotten if he gets his hands on the silverware this Saturday.
McNern was only 17 when he was part of the Naomh Columba squad that lost a low-scoring Intermediate final against St Naul’s by 1-5 to 0-3 in Donegal Town.
That gave him a feel for the big day but try as they might the decider has eluded them over the last decade.
