Michael McMenamin has been confirmed as Donegal GAA’s new Planning and Training Officer.
McMenamim was selected ahead of former county chairman Mick McGrath, who also contested the position.
McMenamin takes over from Charlie Kerr.
A statement was released this morning, saying: “Clg Dhún na nGall are pleased to confirm the appoitment of Michael McMenamin, from Clg Naomh Padraig Uisce Chaoin, as Planning and Training Officer.
“Michael has vast experience and was previously Development Officer from 2009 to 2014. As such his major task was the commencement of the Donegal GAA Training Centre. During his time all major drainage was constructed, the attenuation pond created and perimeter fence installed.
“Pitches 1 and 2 were also developed and floodlit. Michael is currently the Treasuer of Naomh Padraig, Uisce Chaoin and was one of the first child protection tutors in Donegal. He is also a safeguarding 1 tutor, ‘Club Maith’ assessor and Club Development Faciliator.
“We congratulate Michael on his appointment and wish him every success in his role.”
