NICOLE McLaughlin is chasing a hat-trick of Ulster Club medals this weekend when she represents Termon against Donaghmoyne in the Ulster Final.
McLaughlin was only 15 when she won her first medal back in 2010, defeating this week’s opponents in the final.
Donaghmoyne were also put to the sword in the 2014 decider, but it hasn’t all been happy occasions on Ulster Final day, as the Monaghan champions have beaten Termon four times.
McLaughlin is a consistent player for both club and county, and she has plenty of medals at home.
However, the 24-year-old is desperate to collect another this Sunday.
“We’re looking for a third medal, and it would be nice to add to the collection.
“I think our last final was in 2015, and it’s that long ago now, I’m struggling to remember it.
“We have had a few long years where we have been sort of waiting for the season to be over and not really advancing very far.
“But those years brought on some of our younger girls, and now they are strong enough to be on our senior team and make a difference.”
