Mark McHugh will aim to win his first piece of silverware as Westmeath manager tonight.
McHugh’s men have qualified for the O’Byrne Cup Final and take on Kildare on Friday at 7.30pm at St Conleth’s Park in Newbridge.
McHugh was appointed Westmeath manager in September 2025 taking over from Dermot McCabe.

Westmeath have defeated Louth and Offaly on their way to the O’Byrne Cup final.
The Lake county will begin their Division 3 campaign against Sligo in Mullingar on Saturday, January 25, and a win over Kildare would certainly be good preparation.
