In total, 182 days will have passed from when the Ulster Senior Football Championship draw was made until Donegal and Derry collide in Celtic Park this Saturday.
That is just one day shy of six months.
It’s likely that Derry were already garnering quite a lot of attention in Jim McGuinness’s brain by then but it will have ramped up from that Saturday in late October.
We know that McGuinness is a deep thinker of gaelic games and from the moment dialogue was brokered about returning to the Donegal managerial hotseat, he will have known that some day he would be squaring off against Derry.
