Sadhbh McGrath and the Ireland squad sealed their place in the Women’s Rugby World Cup quarter-final courtesy of Sunday’s 16-point win over Spain.

Scott Bemand’s outfit booked their place in the next round in style as they recorded their highest points total in a World Cup game, bettering their previous best against Japan in the opening game.

Burt native McGrath was sprung from the bench for the final 20 minutes against the Spanish side at Franklin’s Gardens in Northampton.
