Sadhbh McGrath and the Ireland women’s rugby team will be hoping to record a victory when they take on Italy at the RDS on Sunday afternoon at 3pm.
Ireland began their campaign with a 38-17 defeat against France last weekend.
Despite the defeat, there were plenty of positives for the Ireland team to take from the showing.
They were much improved on their 2023 showing against a quality France side, and that will have lifted their confidence.
Burt’s McGrath was introduced in the front row in the 62nd minute and battled hard until the end.
She will be hoping to get some minutes again at the RDS and help Ireland to a much needed win.
Italy were hammered by tournament favourites England last week on home turf.
However, the Italians won’t fear Ireland who they defeated by 21-7 last year.
Ireland appear to be in a better place this time around and they will have their eyes firmly set on a win.
