PAUL McGonigle has been appointed as the new manager of the Buncrana senior football team.
McGonigle takes over from Gary Duffy who was at the helm of the Scarvey club for the six years.
McGonigle is a popular appointment and was one of the best ever players to come from Inishowen.

He represented Buncrana and Donegal with distinction and has been involved in the county senior management team under Jim McGuinness and Declan Bonner.
In recent years, McGonigle has been in charge of the Buncrana reserve team and they won the Intermediate ‘B’ title in 2025 so he has a good handle on the young players coming through in the club.
Donegal 2012 All-Ireland winner Ryan Bradley will be McGonigle’s number two.
