Portsalon Notes
A successful Past Captain’s Day was held on Saturday with an excellent turnout from former holders of the iconic black blazer on both the ladies and gents sides.
Hugh McGinley carded 43 points to win the gents section and continue his excellent recent form, with Donal Callaghan Snr fending off Stephen Connolly on a break-of-tie for second spot.
On the ladies side, Kathleen McCormick’s 38 points were just about enough for the win and the family bragging rights, as she pipped her daughter, Deirdre Hensey for the overall win on BOT with Vera Kearney third on 36 points.
