Donegal midfielder Jason McGee is on course to feature in the All-Ireland quarter-final in a fortnight’s time.
Donegal hammered Clare by 2-23 to 0-5 on Saturday but McGee was not involved.
The big Cloughaneely man was with the panel and appeared to be moving freely.
Jim McGuinness was asked after the match about how he was progressing, and was positive about the possibility of McGee featuring in the next match.
“We’re hoping that he will definitely be available for the quarter-final.
“He had a groin issue coming out of the Cork game. We didn’t take any risks with him.
“We have two weeks now again to build him up. The medical team are doing a great job with that and all the players, and hopefully Jason will be there.”
