FERGUS McGEE has been appointed as Donegal GAA’s Central Council Officer at County Convention tonight.
McGee (St Eunan’s) takes over from Sean Dunnion, who has completed his five-year term.
Former County Chairman McGee came out on top in a vote with Buncrana’s Gary Duffy by 103 votes to 74.

        Cieran Kelly (St Naul’s) and Andy Doherty (Red Hughs) have retained their seats on the Ulster Council.
Donal Ó Searcaigh (Naomh Muire) allowed his name to go forward for a vote.
Kelly received 75 votes, while Doherty picked up 69 and Ó Searcaigh was defeated with 15.
