IT was a long winter for Hugh McFadden following Donegal’s Ulster Final defeat to Cavan, but more than seven months later, he will re-enter the championship arena this Sunday.
Donegal were heavy favourites to win the provincial championship last year but were shocked by Cavan in the decider.
It was a hard defeat to stomach, but at the time, the players could take some comfort from the fact that the new season would be starting shortly.
However, that didn’t materialise with Covid-19 cases increasing massively and football was put on the back burner.
