HUGH McFadden is hoping to take Donegal back to the All-Ireland semi-final with a win over Tyrone on Sunday.
Much has been made of the neighbouring county dynamic this week ahead of the big Super 8s meeting, and while local pride and bragging rights are at stake, there is a much bigger prize.
The winning side will progress through to the All-Ireland semi-final, and that’s somewhere Donegal haven’t been for four years.
“Unfortunately we haven’t been able to reach the semi-finals since 2014 and I think we have had a lot of good teams throughout the years, but it just hasn’t worked out the way we wanted it to.
“One thing I can guarantee is that there will be nobody coming out of the dressing room at 3.30 on Sunday that will be lacking in will or desire or effort to get to an All-Ireland semi-final.
“You can argue that there won’t be anyone coming out of the Tyrone dressing room that will flinch too easily either, and there’s no getting away from that.
“It’s going to be a game of fine margins, and we’re just hoping that we can find those margins a little bit easier than they can.”
