St Eunan’s 2-10 Buncrana 2-11
DAIRE McColgan kicked a last gasp 45 as Buncrana advance to the final of the Minor Football Championship after a win over St Eunan’s on Saturday.
The Inishowen men were well on top in the first half with goals from Dylan Mulholland via a penalty and Jack Guilfoyle.
Thomas Roache also scored an early goal at the other end but St Eunan’s were five points down at half-time.
They rallied however and hit 1-5 without reply, Odhran Ryan grabbing the goal as they took a three point lead going into the final ten minutes.
But Buncrana hit back with four scores in-a-row, McColgan getting the last into stoppage time.
Luke McGuinness levelled from a free and it looked to be going to extra-time until McColgan stepped up to rifle a brilliant 45 over the bar to win it in the 65th minute in what was essentially the last kick of the game.
