Abbey Vocational School 1-7 St Colman’s Newry 1-5
Abbey Vocational School are through to the MacRory Cup semi-finals after they held off a St Colman’s Newry fightback in Convoy today.
Tomas Carr scored two superb points in the first half and Abbey were 0-4 to no score ahead at half-time.
St Colman’s struck the first two points of Act Two.
However, Conor McCahill then scored a terrific goal in the 49th minute.
A terrific three-pointer from Corey Clerkin kept Newry in contention but when the pressure was on, Tomas Carr and Oisin Doherty (free) supplied scores for Abbey.
Eoin Duffy drilled a free over the bar in a fiery finish but Abbey held on to make the last four.
