Patrick McBrearty is expected to miss out when Kilcar welcome Glenswilly to Towney in the Donegal Senior Championship this Sunday.
Mark Sweeney’s Kulcar are currently sitting in seventh place in the league standings on four points courtesy of wins over Killybegs and reigning champions St Eunan’s.
The 2017 county champions welcomed Ryan McHugh back to the starting lineup for their meeting with local rivals Killybegs in round three with the two-time All-Star excelling in their triumph.
However, Donegal captain Patrick McBrearty was absent for the Killybegs contest through injury and is expected to be out of action again this weekend when Glenswilly come to town.
Speaking to the Donegal News, Kilcar manager Mark Sweeney stated that the full-forward is currently nursing an injury and said that this weekend’s match may come too soon for him.
“At the minute Patrick (McBrearty) is still out. He’s injured, he’s a couple of issues there but hopefully nothing too serious. We’re not going to rush him back, he’s still out at the minute so this weekend might come a bit too soon for him.”
