McBrearty on song as Donegal defeat Louth

Patrick McBrearty struck eight points as Donegal saw off a stubborn Louth side at Fr Tierney Park today

Donegal played with the aid of the breeze in the first half and while they were 0-9 to 0-7 ahead at the break, the home side’s play wasn’t as slick as it might have been.

Jeaic Mac Ceallabhuí netted a goal in the second half for Donegal, while Michael Langan and Oisin Gallen landed late points in the victory which takes Jim McGuinness’s side another step closer towards promotion.
