Donegal 0-14 Derry 2-7
Donegal made very hard work of it, but they are through to the semi-finals of the Ulster Under 21 Championship thanks to a late Stephen McBrearty free.
Declan Bonner’s team played some great football in the first half and led by 0-9 to 0-3 at the break, with Caolan McGonagle and Jamie Brennan both landing three points apiece.
However, Derry came storming back into the game in the second half, and goals from Niall Loughlin and Ruairi McElwee saw them lead by a point with seven minutes of normal time remaining.
Bonner’s men dug deep and fought their way back and Stephen McBrearty’s 65th minute free saw them progress through to the last four.
Donegal will now play Tyrone in the semi-final in two weeks time.
