Maxi Curran has stepped down from his role as Donegal Ladies manager after six years in charge.
Curran, who led Donegal to three Ulster titles, two All-Ireland semi-finals and a Division 1 league final, was in charge for the last time yesterday as Donegal lost 3-12 to 0-6 against Leinster champions Dublin inn the All-Ireland Senior Championship quarter-final in MacCumhaill Park.
A statement from the Donegal LGFA reads: “It is with regret that Donegal LGFA County Board announce that Maxi Curran has stepped away from his role as Donegal Senior Ladies Manager.
“We would like to thank Maxi for his time, commitment, and dedication to Donegal Ladies Football over the past 6 years and wish him well in the future.”
