Maurice McLaughlin has swiftly been named as the new boss of Aodh Ruadh ahead of their Division 1 promotion/relegation play-off.
The appointment comes after the shock resignation of Conor Cunningham, who steps away just four months in after replacing John McNulty.
Cunningham, a former Kilcar manager, hit some inconsistencies throughout the season and a shock defeat to neighbours Bundoran in the final league game has seen them finish third last in Division 1, with Termon their opponents this Sunday in the play-off.
Based in Ballyshannon, McLaughlin has managed a number of underage teams in his native county of Fermanagh over the past years, taking the minor side and most recently, the Under-20 side.
McLaughlin, who also managed Erne Gaels in Fermanagh, will be supported by former Aodh Ruadh joint manager Philip O’Reilly.
