Matthewson set for 100th appearance

CIARAN Matthewson will become the ninth hurler to reach 100 appearances for Donegal this century when he takes to the field against Mayo in O’Donnell Park on Saturday.

Renowned GAA statistician Fr Sean Ó Gallachóir has been keeping a close eye on the records, and the ever-reliable Matthewson is just as hungry to impress as he was 12 years ago when he made his debut as a sub against Roscommon in Athleague.
