However, the Donegal Town team improved in the second quarter, and they had a couple of goal chances but couldn’t take them.

HT: Four Masters 0-4 Magherafelt 0-4

Masters got a great start to Act Two when Darragh Griffin fisted the ball into the bottom corner, and then Conor McCahill curled over a fine score.

They moved five points ahead as the game approached the closing exchanges, but Magherafelt reduced their deficit back to two late on.

Masters survived a real scare at the death as Magherafelt almost landed a goal but the ball was deflected wide and there was delight for the Donegal teenagers when the full-time whistle blew.
