JOHNNY McGroddy came off the bench to inspire DCU Dóchas Éireann to an extra-time victory over Ulster University tonight in Cavan and send his team through to the Sigerson Cup Final.
McGroddy scored four points from play after his introduction as his side won by 0-14 to 0-10.
His Downings clubmate Ronan Gallagher also starred for DCU and had a solid game at centre half-back.

Ronan McGeehin was between the sticks for UU and kept a clean sheet but it wasn’t to be for the defending champions.
DCU Dóchas Éireann will now face UCD in the Sigerson Cup Final on February 12.
