Mark Black & The Trips headline tonight’s Clubeo at Leo’s

TONIGHT (Friday), May 15, the monthly event Clubeo at Leo’s Tavern, Meenaleck, Crolly, has another very special guest headlining.

Well-known Letterkenny singer Mark Black will take to the famous stage, known as the home of Clannad and Enya, with his band The Trips.
Clubeo is a monthly event hosted by Irish music legend Moya Brennan, well-known broadcaster Dónall Mac Ruairí and friends.

The popular event has now offered a regular stage for artists of all ages for over two years and has seen a lot of talent flourish along the way. As well as offering an outlet for anyone wanting to present their music to a very appreciative audience, Clubeo always invites a special guest to close the night. Some of the previous special guests have included Brian Kennedy, Damien Dempsey and many more.

This week’s special guest, Mark Black, certainly now stranger to the music scene in the northwest, bringing his unique blend of rock, roots and blues to audiences for years.

Mark is bringing his band The Trips to Leo’s featuring Seamus Devenny on drums, Adam Neale on bass and Peadar Coll on guitar and fiddle. 
The singer, who comes from a long line of well-known musicians, the Letterkenny musical dynasty that is The Ponsonbys, said he is delighted to headline the vent.

“I guested by myself solo last summer and had such a great night in Leo’s. Clubeo is certainly building a reputation for itself, there have been some very high profile gigs with wonderful guests since they started. It’s a real privilege to be included in such great company.”

Clubeo at Leo’s Tavern, Meenaleck, begins at 9.30pm sharp so be sure to arrive early to secure all the talent performing on the night.
