RAMELTON Mariners are back in the top tier of Saturday football for the first time in 11 years and boss Raymond Friel is excited to see how they fare up at the higher level.
The Mariners are just one of two Saturday teams in the Donegal Junior League that have entered into the FAI Junior Cup which begins this weekend, along with Fintown Harps who got a bye into the second round.
And Friel admits it’ll be a tall order as they face neighbours Milford United who were only just relegated from the Brian McCormick Premier Division but hopes it will stand to them ahead of what will be a challenging season in the Glencar Inn Division One.
