Maria McGee secures third at Raheny 5 Mile

At the prestigious Raheny 5 mile on Sunday where four thousand people took part with a strong field, there was a super performance by Maria McGee who has been on fire recently. She put in another stellar performance and came home in a time of 27:04 to finish third behind winner 2016 Olympian Michelle Finn and just behind Faye Dervin. It has been an impressive start to the season for Maria to date.

There was a great day last week also for our club athletes running with Rosses Community School at the Districts Cross Country in Finn Valley. Big congratulations to our athletes who qualified for the Ulster Schools Cross Country – Enya Logue, Ayva Boyle, Aileen Logue and Evan Ward. The highlight of the day was Evan Ward’s gold medal winning performance in the Intermediate Boys race.
