Letterkenny Athletic Club honoured its outstanding performers at the 2025 Awards ceremony, recognising exceptional achievements across all disciplines and age groups.
Erin Friel claimed Junior Athlete of the Year, while Alicia McNulty earned Best Newcomer recognition. Amanda McLoone and Cian Friel took the Most Improved awards in their respective categories, both making significant strides throughout the season.
Nakita Burke secured Female Cross-Country Athlete of the Year, with Dale Corbett matching her achievement in the male category. On the roads Danny Mooney captured the male honour.
Fern Duffy claimed Female Track & Field Athlete of the Year, and Joseph Aidoo earned Male Track Athlete recognition. Sharon Tshimbudzi took Female Master Athlete of the Year, with Ciaran McGonagle winning the male award. Barry Mackey received the Over 50 Athlete honour.
Caitriona Jennings delivered the Performance of the Year, while James Doherty received the Captains Award for his Irish Record performance in the half marathon. The evening’s top honours went to Ann Marie McGlynn as Female Athlete of the Year and Stephen McAuley as Male Athlete of the Year.
Margaret Shiels was named Club Person of the Year, recognising her invaluable contribution to the club. The ceremony reinforced Letterkenny AC’s position as a thriving athletic community where achievement is celebrated at every level.
