The body of a man has been recovered from water in West Donegal.
A major search operation was launched earlier this morning following the discovery of a car which entered water off Bunbeg Pier.
The search was coordinated by Malin Head Coastguard, which also included support from the gardaí, Rescue 118 helicopter and the local coastguard.
A garda spokesperson told the Donegal News: “Gardaí in Milford were alerted to this incident this morning at approximately 8.20am by Malin Head Coast Guard.
“The body of a man has been recovered from the car and Gardaí are liaising with family at this time.
“Investigations ongoing.”
