A RATHMULLAN man was convicted and fined €100 when his case came before the District Court in Letterkenny last week.
Oliver Shovlin (44) of Clondallow admitted being intoxicated at Letterkenny University Hospital on February 29.
He was taken to Letterkenny Garda Station and the court heard he was compliant at all times.
Solicitor for Shovlin, Mr Patsy Gallagher told the court his client had received a substantial injury a number of years ago which had required treatment in Dun Laoghire and still had ongoing issues.
Mr Gallagher said his client had fallen asleep.
Judge Éiteáin Cunningham convicted and fined Shovlin €100 and gave him five months to pay the fine.
