A MAN in his 50s, charged in connection with the discovery of a body in Killybegs over the weekend, is set to appear before Carrick-on-Shannon District Court today.
The body was discovered in Killybegs on Sunday at about 12.20pm, when gardaí and emergency services responded to a report of man found unresponsive at a residence on Harbour View Drive.
The man, aged in his 60s, was pronounced deceased at the scene a short time later.
Yesterday morning, gardaí arrested a man in his 50s in connection with the investigation.
He has since been charged and will appear before Carrick-on-Shannon District Court at 2pm today.
Meanwhile, gardaí continue to investigate the incident.
