Man to appear before court following Donegal collision

A MAN arrested in connection with a single-vehicle road traffic collision in Inishowen has been charged in relation to the incident and is due to appear in court.

The incident occurred at 9.55pm, Thursday, August 15, at Burnfoot.

Two men and one woman, all aged in their 20s, were taken to Letterkenny University Hospital for treatment of injuries believed to be non life-threatening.

A man, aged in his 20s, was arrested in relation to the incident and was detained at a garda station in Donegal.

A garda spokesperson today told the Donegal News that he has been charged in relation to the incident,  and is due to appear before Buncrana District Court at a later date.

The road, which had been closed following the incident, has since reopened.

A garda spokesperson said investigations are ongoing.

Any witnesses to the collision are being urged to come forward.

“Any road users who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) and were travelling in the area at the time of the incident, are asked to make this footage available to investigating Gardaí.
