A MAN sustained injury following an alleged assault when two males in a car pulled up alongside him as he was walking.
Gardaí say the man was walking at New Road, Carndonagh, on Monday, March 2 between 10.30pm and 10.50pm when a grey Lexus pulled in. The man got into a verbal altercation with two males in the car and one of them got out and proceeded to assault him. The man sustained injuries, none of which are believed to be life threatening in nature.
A garda spokesperson said: “We appeal to motorists who may have travelled in that area with a dash-cam between 10.15pm and 11pm on Monday, March 2 to make that footage available to investigating Gardaí. If anyone witnessed the incident, we ask them to contact Gardaí in Buncrana on (074) 9320540.
