Man pleads guilty to false imprisonment of woman

A 32 year old man has pleaded guilty to the false imprisonment of a woman at his home address in Milford.

Brian McLaughlin, of McGettigan’s Flats, Main Street, appeared at Tuesday’s sitting of Letterkenny Circuit Court where he also admitted to possession of a controlled drug for the purpose of selling or otherwise supplying amphetamine. The accused pleaded guilty to the charge of false imprisonment of the victim on February 22, 2022.

Representing the defendant, Peter Nolan, B.L. requested the provision of a Probation and Welfare report in relation to his client.

The case was adjourned to the October sitting of the Circuit Court.
