Man killed in car crash

Garda Road Closed
GARDAI at Donegal Town Garda station are investigating a fatal crash which occurred between Donegal town and Ballybofey.

The collision between two cars occurred at approximately 3.30pm on the Donegal town to Ballybofey Rd at Mullanalanphry (approximately 7km outside Donegal town).

The sole occupant, a male in his early 80s in one car was seriously injured and pronounced dead at the scene and taken to Letterkenny hospital. The sole occupant of the second car a female (64 years) was also taken to Letterkenny General Hospital where her injuries are not believed to be life threatening.

The road has been closed for a Forensic Collision examination and diversions in place.
