Man killed after tree fell on car near Raphoe

A man has died in Co Donegal after a tree fell on his car during Storm Éowyn.

The accident happened at Feddyglass, Raphoe, Donegal, at around 5.30am.

Gardaí and local emergency services attended the scene where a tree fell on a car.

The man, who was the driver of the car, was killed during the incident.

Given the continuing storm, gardaí are working with local authority and third-party contractors to facilitate the removal of the remains.

The N14 remains closed.

Garda forensic collision investigators and divisional scenes of crime have begun an investigation at the scene.
