Man injured during robbery in Letterkenny

Gardaí are investigating after a man was injured and had his mobile phone stolen during a robbery in Letterkenny.

The man had left the bus station and was walking in the direction of the carpark across the road when at the pedestrian crossing on the Ramelton Road, he was assaulted by two females and a male on Thursday December 23 at around 9.30pm.

His mobile phone was stolen during the course of the incident.

The man in question had to receive medical attention for injuries sustained but his injuries are not believed to be life threatening in nature.

Gardaí are eager to progress the investigation and all information provided will be welcomed.

A spokesperson said, “We are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the incident or to anyone who may have captured the incident on dashcam footage to make contact with Gardaí in Letterkenny on 074-9167100.
