A MAN remains in hospital following an attack in Letterkenny. It’s the latest incident in as many weeks.

The  man was assaulted by two males unknown to him on the Port Road on Sunday, June 19, at approximately 3.30am.

He was taken to Letterkenny University Hospital to receive treatment for injuries sustained where he remains to receive treatment.

The two perpetrators are believed to have left the scene on foot in the direction of the Polestar roundabout.

Gardaí area appealing to anyone who witnessed the assault to contact them on (074) 9167100 or to call the Garda Confidential line on 1800 666 111.

Anyone who travelled the Port Road at the time in question and who had a dash cam is urged to make the footage available to gardaí.
