Man in his 70s dies after tractor overturns

A man in his 70s has died after a tractor he was driving overturned this morning.

The tractor overturned at Corlea, outside Ballyshannon, at around 10.45am.

A forensic examination of the scene was carried out earlier today and the road has now reopened.

The body of the man was taken to the mortuary at Sligo University Hospital where a post-mortem will take place at a later date.

Gardaí have appealed for anyone who may have witnessed the incident to contact them at Ballyshannon Garda station on 071 985 8530, or any garda station.
