A man had to be taken to hospital for treatment following an unprovoked attack in Letterkenny over the Bank Holiday weekend.
The man was waiting for a taxi in Upper Main Street on Saturday, March 18, at 4am when was approached by a man who was not known to him. The unknown man then proceeded to assault him.
The injured man was taken to Letterkenny University Hospital as he had sustained injuries, none of which are believed to be life threatening in nature.
A garda spokesperson has appealed to anyone who witnessed the assault, or anyone who has any relevant information in relation to the incident to contact them at Letterkenny Garda Station on (074) 9167100. The Garda Confidential line may be contacted on 1800 666 111.
