A MAN has been charged with two counts of criminal damage relating to an arson attack on a Donegal Orange Order Hall last year.
Following his arrest on Monday morning Eamonn McGill (31) of Macmeenstown appeared before Letterkenny District Court. The court heard he had replied ‘not true’ to each of the charges when they were put to him that morning.
The charges relate to €245,000 damage caused to the Orange Order Hall in Convoy last October. He was also charged with causing €800 damage to a church on the same day.
Refusing bail, Judge Paul Kelly remanded McGill in custody to appear again before Letterkenny District Court on Thursday.
A second man has already been charged in connection with the arson attack.
