A MAN has been charged in relation to the assault of a woman in Letterkenny.
The woman was attacked while walking in a Letterkenny housing estate in the early hours of March 17.
Gardaí launched an investigation into the incident, which occurred in the Beechwood Park area estate between 3am and 4.10am.
The woman had walked up High Road from the direction of town and had walked into Beechwood Park estate where she was assaulted by a man who was unknown to her.
The woman was injured, but her injuries were not of a life-threatening nature.
Gardaí appealed for information to assist their investigation into the incident.
A garda spokesperson confirmed a man has been arrested and charged.
