He had received minor treatment to his wrist, the court heard.

The defendant was asked to leave, but at this point he became abusive to gardaí and staff.

Moushraqui was arrested and charged with engaging in threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour, contrary to Section 6 of the Public Order Act 1994.

The defendant was further charged with intoxication in a public place on the same date. The offence is contrary to Section 4 of the Public Order Act.

Sergeant Collins told the court Moushraqui was apologetic when arrested.

Noting the defendant’s early plea, Judge Emile Daly directed that he make a contribution of €400 to Saint Vincent de Paul. The matter was adjourned until April 20 to allow this to be done.

However, Judge Daly set down a default order of €800 with four months to pay if Moushraqui fails to make the charitable donation.
