AN investigation is underway following an alleged daytime assault in Letterkenny after three males got out of a car and assaulted another man.
The alleged assault occurred in the Long Lane area on Wednesday, June 11 at 3.10pm.
Gardaí have said that a man was at that location when a car pulled in alongside him. Three males got out of the car and they assaulted him. He sustained injuries, none of which are believed to be life threatening in nature.
A garda spokesperson said: “We appeal to road users who may have been in the area with a dash-cam, to make the footage available to us. If anyone witnessed the incident, we ask them to contact Letterkenny Garda Station on 074-9167100 or the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111.”
