A man aged in his 50s was arrested yesterday in relation to the investigation into the murder of Councillor Edward Fullerton.
Cllr Fullerton was shot dead in his home in Buncrana on Saturday, May 25, 1991.
He has been released without charge. A file will now be prepared for the DPP.
Gardaí from the Donegal Division arrested the man yesterday morning in relation to the investigation into the murder of Councillor Edward Fullerton that occurred at his home in Buncrana, Co. Donegal on Saturday, May 25, 1991.
The man (56 years) was arrested this morning shortly after 10am and is currently detained under Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act, 1939 as amended, at Letterkenny Garda station.
