Gardai in Milford investigating the murder of Seamus Doherty have arrested a 52-year-old man in connection with the investigation.
The man was arrested last night in Raphoe. He is expected to appear before Buncrana District Court this morning.
Mr Doherty (67), from Churchill, County Donegal, was found dead on June 17, 2012.
Gardai and emergency services had been called to a house at Drumacnoo near the village of Churchill at 1.50am on the morning of June 17, 2012, where the body of Mr Doherty was discovered. He was pronounced dead at the scene and removed to Letterkenny Hospital.
Following a post-mortem examination carried out by the State Pathologist Professor, Marie Cassidy on June 19, the it was established that Mr Doherty had died in suspicious circumstances.
Investigations are continuing.
